Crew Movie REVIEW: Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan And Kriti Sanon Shine Bright In Hilarious Robbery Flick- A Must-Watch Film
The much-anticipated women-led film "Crew" graces the silver screen today, featuring a powerhouse trio of Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Set against the backdrop of the aviation industry, the film loosely weaves a narrative inspired by the saga of Vijay Mallya and Kingfisher Airlines. Saswata Chatterjee portrays the owner of Kohinoor Airlines, while the leading ladies, Geeta Sethi (Tabu), Jasmine (Kareena Kapoor Khan), and Divya (Kriti Sanon), serve as the cabin crew. Clocking in at 2 hours and 4 minutes, "Crew" promises a blend of comedy, suspense, and glamour, sans the trappings of pseudo-feminism or gratuitous nudity.

Director Rajesh A Krishnan, known for his work on the OTT hit "Lootcase," navigates the film's dual timelines adeptly, delving into the camaraderie and trials faced by the trio of flight attendants. Tabu shines as the seasoned matriarch of the crew, while Kareena Kapoor Khan exudes ambition and wit in equal measure. Kriti Sanon, though slightly overshadowed, delivers a commendable performance, particularly in emotive scenes.

The narrative takes a compelling turn as the protagonists stumble upon a fortune amidst their professional woes, leading to a series of events that culminate in interrogation. Motivated by a shared sense of injustice, the women embark on a journey of defiance, challenging both internal and external adversaries.

While the film boasts a stellar cast, including Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in supporting roles, their talents feel underutilized, with limited opportunities for comedic flair. Despite this, the ensemble cast delivers commendable performances, with Rajesh Sharma standing out among the supporting players.

Krishnan's direction, while commendable in maintaining logical coherence, leaves some narrative threads unresolved, detracting from the overall impact. However, the film strikes a balance between glamour and substance, with each character contributing to the overarching narrative arc.

"Crew" is a testament to the resilience and camaraderie of women in the face of adversity, offering audiences a compelling blend of entertainment and social commentary. With its release on the horizon, the film promises to captivate audiences with its poignant portrayal of friendship, ambition, and empowerment. It is surely an entertaining watch!
